FAQs

What is a General Contractor?

A General Contractor is a state-certified professional responsible for managing the entire project from start to finish. Their duties include selecting cost-effective materials, overseeing day-to-day operations of employees and subcontractors, and maintaining open communication with vendors to ensure projects stay on schedule.

How much will my project cost?

Project costs vary depending on the specifics of each job. To provide competitive pricing, we require an in-person appointment to fully understand your project's requirements. Please contact us to schedule a visit and receive an accurate estimate for your desired work.

How long is an estimate valid before acceptance?

Our estimates are honored for 2 weeks (14 days) from the date presented due to fluctuating material costs. Once accepted, the estimate becomes a contract, and the agreed-upon price will not change after construction begins.

Will a Permit be required for my project?

Permit requirements differ for each job and city/municipality. While not all jobs need a permit, most do. We will inform you if a permit is required and handle scheduling, inspections, and compliance with building codes.

When are payments due, and how are they made?

Payment schedules are determined by project progress. A typical 30% deposit is required for starting materials, followed by a draw system with mutually agreed-upon stages. Payment options include checks made out to M&M Restoration Contracting Services LLC, Zelle, or Intuit ACH transfers. Call us for more information.

What happens if I am late on a payment?

Payments are due 5 days after receiving an invoice via email. Late payments will incur a 3% late fee added to the invoice total.

What is a Change Order?

A Change Order is a separate invoice from the original estimate, covering additional work. All parties must approve Change Orders before work begins, and payment is due upon acceptance.
